Extraordinary Words Create Extraordinary Transformations

Creative “Righting” – also known as poetry therapy – is the use of the written and
spoken word for emotional balance and healing. When we write, we express ourselves.  When we read, we are inspired by the wisdom of great souls. Both reading and writing trigger a natural self-righting mechanism, a movement toward growth and healing.

Through interactive dialogue and written exercises to prompt cathartic self-expression, the creative imagination reveals itself through images, symbol, and story. As we engage in the process, we gain access to multiple deep levels of the self and discover a path to healing.

Creative “Righting” offers mental health practitioners and helping professionals a brilliant tool for insight, healing and transformation. As part of our experiential approach, professionals embrace their own transformation in preparation for working with their clients.

Exercises to ignite meaningful conversations in therapy.

“As a poetry therapist, my goal is discovery and reclaiming voice.

As a mental health practitioner, my focus is emotional balance.

As a spiritual person, I seek connection and compassion.

And as a creative, I seek a spark.”
